Happy Birthday Caleb

My baby just turned 1!!  He doesn't act like a baby anymore but acts like a toddler.  The last couple of weeks he has been standing by up by himself and has taken a few steps here and there.  He is so close to walking.  He has such an Awesome attitude and is ALWAYS happy.  This little boy loves his older brother Kade and wants to be by him 24/7.  I am so lucky to have such a good little boy.

This year we had two parties for him (spoiled).  The first we had on Sunday with the Davis Family.  We celebrated both Caleb and Gracie birthdays... they are twin cousins born on the same day.  Shannon and I decided to have a theme party for the kids.  Mickey and Minnie Mouse.  I made the invitations... I was so proud of myself... they looked so good.  Then Shannon, my mom and I made the cakes and cupcakes for the birthdays.  Here are a few pictures... notice his chocolate eyebrows.

The second party we had on his birthday at our House with the Konopka's.  Mike's parents and grandparents came over for the party.  We ended up having a dinner... it sorta was like a mini-Thanksgiving... Turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, and stuffing.  We had a sports theme for this party.  I made (with Kade's help) the Cake, cupcakes and Birthday banner.  Caleb was so stinking cute while eating his cake... within in seconds he went from being clean to all chocolate brown.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALEB!!

Kade's Birthday

Kade turned 3 this year.  He is getting so big.  I remember the day he was born... time flies when you are having fun.  The kid is so smart and have the greatest imagination I have ever seen in a kid his age.  He LOVES LOVES LOVES robots... his favorite show is Transformers.  He is still having some major issues with talking and the annunciation with the words but we work on it everyday.  He is going to the school for speech therapy once a week.

This year we had two parties for him.  The first was with the Konopka's... we packed our stuff and headed up to the cabin for a few days.  It was a lot of fun to be up there.  All of Mike's family was able to be there... it had been a while since all of us were together.  I decorated the cabin for Kade's birthday party and created a hat using supplies found at the cabin.  While up there we also went fishing to the pond.  Kade loved it.  Here are some pictures.

The second party was at my parents house on his Birthday.  He has been talking about Robots for about  months so I decided to get him a Robot cake... but instead of cake we got Mint Brownies.  Kade really loved the robots on top and to this day sleeps most nights with the robots right next to  him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KADE!!

August Exploring

August was $2 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point...we took advantage of the great price and went 2 different times.  Here are a few pictures from the first time.

We also took advantage of the FREE ADMISSION day at Discovery Gateway.  We took Maddy and Kelsey with us.  Kade had such a great time... even though their were one million kids there with us.

Summer Swimming

This summer we had a few chances to go swimming.  Thinking back Kade was for the most part him ornery self but did have a few spots of FUN.
