Moderate Speech Delay

The other day we had Kids on the Move come out and complete an assessment on Kade. They sat with him for about 45 minutes and determined that he has a "Moderate" speech delay. They said that he talks a lot but that you cant understand anything he says... so TRUE! They are going to come back and help us set goals and teach Mike and I how to help Kade. Kade is such a smart little boy but just needs a little help in expressing himself. They suggested that we teach Kade some sign language so that we can understand what he needs/wants.

This picture was taken the same day we got his new shoes from DI. They only cost me $2 and he loves them.
This is all he wanted to wear all day long. What a funny boy!!

The only thing about Kids on the Move is that he is only allowed to stay in the program until he turns 3. When he turns 3 they will have the school district come out and complete another assessment to determine if he qualifies for help through the district.

I hope that this works and that he will make GREAT improvement over the next few months. I will try to keep you all posted with his progress.
